HASAN KILCA: WE EXCEEDED EUROPEAN STANDARDS IN THE AMOUNT OF GREEN PER CAPITA

"Karatay Lavender Days," organized by Karatay Municipality for the second time this year, ended. Hundreds of thousands of citizens from all over Turkey participated in the two-day events. Karatay Lavender Gardens, Mevlana Rose Garden, and Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca, who thanked everyone who participated in the "2nd Lavender Days", said, "With the work we have done in this field, we have raised the amount of green space per capita in our district even above European standards. Such works also make an important contribution to the further boost in tourism in our city."

The second of the "Karatay Lavender Days", the first of which was organized by Karatay Municipality last year, was held with great participation.

HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS FROM ALL OVER TURKEY PARTICIPATED IN THE EVENTS

Hundreds of thousands of citizens who came to the event area established opposite the Karatay Lavender Garden for two days spent time at many stands established from handicrafts to tens of kinds of lavender products, from natural products to food. Children as well as parents spent two days having fun in various workshops, special playgrounds, children's theatre, and animation shows.

RECORD NUMBER OF VISITORS TO KARATAY LAVENDER GARDENS AND MEVLANA ROSE GARDEN

Karatay Lavender Garden has continued to attract great interest since its opening on the first day of July. Citizens, who are fascinated by the unique scent and appearance of lavender, immortalize their visits with photographs using dozens of objects placed in the garden. Like Karatay Lavender Days, Karatay Mevlana Rose Garden, which opened its doors on the first day of July, attracts great attention. Fellow citizens who spent time among thousands of roses of tens of species and varieties in the garden gave full marks to Karatay Mevlana Rose Garden. The two gardens and Karatay Lavender Days, which continue to make important contributions to Konya's tourism, broke a new record this year by hosting hundreds of thousands of citizens.

MAYOR HASAN KILCA PARTICIPATED IN THE EVENTS WITH TOGG

Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, also came with TOGG to the events on these two special days. Mayor Hasan Kılca met with the citizens who first visited the Lavender Garden and then met with those participating in Karatay Lavender Days. Mayor Hasan Kılca had a conversation with their fellow citizens for a while and then went to the event area where Karatay Lavender Days were held together with the citizens. Making a short speech on the stage created for the event, Hasan Kılca thanked the citizens and children who participated in Karatay Lavender Days.

LAVENDER AND ROSE GARDEN BOOSTED THE TOURISM OF OUR KONYA AND KARATAY

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca, who also made evaluations about "2nd Karatay Lavender Days", Karatay Lavender Gardens, and Karatay Mevlana Rose Garden projects, said, "We are making the second of Karatay Lavender Days this year. Our citizens also show great interest. Our Lavender and Mevlana Rose Gardens serve our district and our city in a total area of 1 million square meters. Our goal was to increase the amount of green space per capita in Konya and Karatay. With these two gardens, we have increased this ratio to 2 square meters per capita by making very important green areas work, and in this sense, we have exceeded European standards. Those who visit our lavender garden do not want to leave here. Visitors to this vast garden spend time here to their hearts' desire. As a thematic park, not only from Konya but also from all over Turkey and even from abroad, there is a good interest in this place. I think it adds a different atmosphere to our district and further boosts the tourism of Konya."
