The Concrete Elements Production Facility, brought to the district by Karatay Municipality, was opened with a ceremony. With the facility, Karatay Municipality started to produce the interlocking paving and curb stones it needed. Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, stated in his speech at the opening ceremony that they made all their investments with their own resources. Mayor Hasan Kılca said, "We are making investments that will further strengthen our district's infrastructure by acting in accordance with our producing municipality vision".

Karatay Municipality Concrete Elements Production Facility, which can produce interlocking paving concrete, curb stone, and concrete used by Karatay Municipality in infrastructure works throughout the district quickly, economically, and in accordance with quality standards, was opened with a ceremony.

The factory, established on an area of 12331 square meters in the Tatlıcak neighborhood and having an indoor storage and production facility of 1551 square meters, was designed as prefabricated reinforced concrete.

The facility will be able to produce pumice briquettes, concrete briquettes, and partially ready-mixed concrete, in addition to interlocking paving and curbstones. Moreover, this production will have a price advantage of at least 20 percent compared to the market. The facility, which will be able to produce an average of 300,000 square meters of interlocked concrete paving stones per year, will also be able to produce an average of 325,000 meters of curb stones per year.

The facility, which can produce 1200 square meters of key paving stones or 1300 square meters of curb stone per day, has a 10,000-square-meter parquet stone stock area. Karatay Municipality will also provide savings of at least 20 percent per year.

WE MAKE ALL OUR INVESTMENTS WITH OUR OWN RESOURCES

In his speech at the ceremony held for the opening of the facility, Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca stated that they have made all their investments with their own resources and  that they attach particular importance to investments that will further strengthen the district infrastructure.

Mayor Hasan Kılca: "In 2021, we brought our new asphalt plant and Asphalt Analysis Laboratory to our municipality with the support of our Metropolitan Municipality. Now we are opening our concrete element production facility. Infrastructure works and landscaping in both our district center and distant neighborhoods are among our most costly projects. In this context, it becomes significant to use our resources correctly and efficiently. We, the municipality, have started to produce interlocking paving, curbstone, and partial concrete in our own facility with this facility that we inaugurated today. It has a closed area of 1550 square meters, which we established on an area of 12330 square meters. The total cost of the prefabricated areas and equipment purchases we have made within the facility reaches 36 million TRY, excluding the land. Our facility, which we designed as prefabricated reinforced concrete, will be able to produce 1250 square meters of interlocking paving stones or 1500 linear meters of curb stones per day in our facility with 10,000 square meters of parquet stone stock area. We aim to produce an average of 300 thousand square meters of interlocking paving stones, or 325 thousand meters of curb stones, annually. Thus, we will reduce the cost of lock paving and curbstone, which is one of the biggest expense items of our infrastructure works, and we will save at least 20 percent." Hasan Kılca, who reminded us that, as Karatay Municipality, they set a target of 750,000 square meters of interlocking parquet application throughout the district this year, underlined that they continue their work nonstop in this context.

Kılca completed his speech as follows: "When we complete these works, the amount of interlocking parquet we have applied throughout our district since 2019 will reach a record with 2.8 million square meters. Nevertheless, we are covering all the internal roads of our 32 neighborhoods distant from the center of the district and some of the internal roads of the plateau completely with interlocked parquet within the scope of these works. While the face of our city is changing, we will continue to provide durable, aesthetic, and long-lasting services to our citizens. We, the Karatay Municipality, will continue our work with an understanding that always aims for the better. I wish all the best with our Concrete Elements Facility, which we have established by acting in accordance with our producing municipality vision, for our municipality and district. I would like to thank you, our esteemed guests, for your participation."

Hasan Angı, the Konya Provincial Head of the AK Party, wished all the best with the facility for Karatay and Konya and said that Konya municipalities add value to the city with their services.

Provincial Head Hasan Angı said, "Our mayors do all they can to grow, develop, and enhance the city, and they are active in every field. We also see how much our city has improved and grown in these facilities that our municipalities have laid the foundation for and opened one after another. Our district municipalities continue to add value to our city in harmony by displaying magnificent unity and solidarity with our Metropolitan Municipality. Our mayors continue their services with the slogan 'This city deserves the best of everything'. As citizens living in Konya, we always have the peace, pride, and happiness we feel from this. It is really different to live here. I wish all the best with the facility, and I would like to thank Mr. Hasan Kılca, Mayor of Karatay Municipality, who contributed to the realization of the facility".

OUR MUNICIPALITIES IMPRESS WITH THEIR SERVICES

Ahmet Sorgun, the former AK Party Konya Deputy, also thanked Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca for his diligent work in Karatay.

Ahmet Sorgun said, "AK Party municipalities, under the leadership of our President, continue the service movement with the domestic and national movements and produce very good work. In this context, our Metropolitan Municipality, district municipalities, government, and organizations are impressing with their services in unity and solidarity. I would like to thank all those who contributed to the realization of this beautiful service, especially our Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca for his devoted work in Karatay.

THE FACILITY WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE PRODUCTION ECONOMY OF THE CITY

Mustafa Uzbaş, Deputy Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, noted that the Concrete Elements Production Facility is an investment that will add value to the production economy of the city.

Mustafa Uzbaş said, "We pull all the stops out to equip all of our 31 districts with high service standards. Behind all these efforts, there is a firm unity between our district municipalities and our citizens. A very important work was brought to our district by our Karatay Municipality. The facility, established on an area of approximately 12,000 square meters, has an annual production capacity of 300,000 square meters of parquet stone. Our municipality will produce its own parquet and curb stones with this facility. It will have much higher quality, be faster, be less costly, and have quicker production capability. I would like to thank everyone, especially the Mayor of Karatay Municipality, for the realization of this project, and I wish all the best with this facility."

KARATAY'S INVESTMENTS WITH ITS OWN RESOURCES ARE PROUD

Selman Özboyacı, AK Party Konya Deputy, stated that it is proud that Karatay Municipality's Concrete Elements Production Facility was put into operation with the municipality's own resources.

Deputy Selman Boyaci completed his speech as follows: "We are together at the opening of a very nice facility. The production of stone in our facility as a service of our municipality is great work in terms of both cost and quality and municipalism. This material has been supplied from outside until today, but our Karatay Municipality has established this facility by taking a very correct and appropriate step with titles such as 'Sustainable Production Economy'. In a world where climate change is so much talked about, it is a source of pride for us that our Karatay Municipality makes such an investment with its own resources and equity capital. The facility will be able to serve not only Karatay but also Konya in the future. All 32 neighborhoods' internal roads and walking trails and all roads of the neighborhood will be made with the material produced here. It is a very important point in terms of showing the position the AK Party has brought Turkey to. We are present in all 55,000 neighborhoods in 973 districts in 81 provinces. I would like to thank our mayor for bringing our facility to Karatay."

After the speeches, the Karatay Concrete Elements Production Facility, which was completed by Karatay Municipality, was opened. After the opening, the protocol members visited the facility and received information from Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca about the production and investment made in the facility. 

On the other hand, Mehmet Genç, the Karatay District Head of the AK Party, Tahir Özer, Deputy Mayor of Selçuklu Municipality, AK Party Konya Provincial and District Board Members, Karatay Municipality Council Members, Karatay Deputy Mayors, unit managers, Konya Media, and headmen attended the opening program.

Milletvekili Selman Boyacı sözlerini şöyle tamamladı; “Çok güzel bir tesisimizin açılışında birlikteyiz. Tesisimizde taşın belediyemiz hizmeti olarak üretilmesi hem maliyet hem kalite noktasında ve belediyecilik anlamında büyük bir iş. Bu malzeme, bugüne kadar dışarıdan tedarik ediliyordu fakat Karatay Belediyemiz ‘Sürdürülebilir Üretim Ekonomisi’ gibi başlıklarda çok doğru ve yerinde bir adım atarak bu tesisi kurdu. İklim değişikliğinin bu kadar konuşulduğu bir dünyada, Karatay Belediyemizin kendi öz kaynaklarıyla ve öz sermayesiyle böyle bir yatırım yapması bizim için gurur tablosudur. Tesis, gelecekte sadece Karatay’a değil Konya’nın tamamına da hizmet edebilecek tesis. 32 mahallenin tamamının iç yolları, gidiş yolları mahallenin tamamının tüm yolları buradan üretilen malzemeyle yapılacak. Bu da AK Parti’nin Türkiye’yi getirdiği konumu göstermesi açısından çok önemli bir husus. 81 ilin 973 ilçenin 55 bin mahallenin hepsinde varız. Tesisimizi Karatay’ımıza kazandıran belediye başkanımıza teşekkür ediyorum.”

Konuşmaların ardından Karatay Belediyesi tarafından yapımı tamamlanan Karatay Beton Elemanları Üretim Tesisi, açıldı. Açılışın ardından protokol üyeleri, tesisi gezerek tesiste yapılan üretim ile yatırım hakkında Karatay Belediye Başkanı Hasan Kılca’dan bilgi aldılar.

Öte yandan açılış programına; AK Parti Karatay İlçe Başkanı Mehmet Genç, Selçuklu Belediye Başkan Vekili Tahir Özer, AK Parti Konya İl ve İlçe Yönetim Kurulu Üyeleri, Karatay Belediyesi Meclis Üyeleri, Karatay Belediye Başkan Yardımcıları, birim müdürleri, Konya Basını ve muhtarlar katıldı.
