Orhangazi Social Facility completed by Karatay Municipality and includes KOMEK (Vocational Course) classrooms, workshops, retired mansion, and headman's office, was put into service with a ceremony. ahdettin Özkan, the Governor of Konya, who spoke at the unveiling ceremony of the facility, which cost TRY 3,2 million, stated that Karatay Municipality continues its tradition of bringing science centers to Konya.  Uğur İbrahim Altay, the Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, expressed that Orhangazi Social Facility is a good example of Konya model municipality, while Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, stated that they consider the facility vital in terms of its contribution to the social life of the region.

Karatay Municipality, which realized many projects in every field from education to culture, from sports to environment, in the direction of the needs of Karatay and the requests of the 80 neighborhoods of the district, unveiled the social facility completed in the Orhangazi District.

Speaking at the ceremony held for the unveiling,  Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, said that the social facility they designed to provide multi-purpose services will meet an important need in Orhangazi Neighborhood

Mayor Hasan Kılca, who stated that they, the Karatay Municipality, serve with the motto of "Another Karatay", expressed that they pay the same attention to the development of the social life of the district in addition to its physical needs.

Hasan Kılca, who stated that all the investments made are for the comfort of each district resident in Karatay, said, “If the priority in the construction of cities is sincerity, their construction will be just as beautiful, precious and valuable. The priority of the way and method followed by the ancestors who made this land our homeland is sincerity, to set the heart on it, and to build it. Based on construction, there is the understanding of "we love the created for the creator's sake", which we underline on every occasion. We, the custodians of rich and deep-rooted heritage, consider our position as a means of serving Karatay and preparing Karatay for the future. With this sense of responsibility, we keep our shoulders to the wheel.  We, the Karatay Municipality, continue producing services in the direction of the wishes, demands, and expectations of our fellow citizens. Because we know that those who work fondly do not get tired and those who run excitedly reach their goal.  Our aim is to leave a mellifluous voice in the hearts of our citizens from Karatay. Kılca, who underlined that the Orhangazi Social Facility, which was completed and unveiled, is an environment where Karatay people can spend time in the warmth of family, concluded finished his speech as follows: "Our Orhangazi Social Facility, which has an investment cost of TRY 3.2 million and a construction area of ​​1,145 square meters, and includes KOMEK classrooms and workshops, retired mansion, headman's office, children's playgrounds, will serve as KOMEK Vocational Training Courses of our Metropolitan Municipality. As Local government, our duty is to be a bridge between the nation and the state. Therefore, we are working to develop benefit-centered projects in the direction of the wishes and expectations of our citizens and to realize these projects as soon as possible. We visited all our neighborhoods right after the elections. We identified the needs of our neighborhoods on-site. There was also a huge demand for vocational courses from our Orhangazi Neighborhood. In accordance with this demand, we built this place and we allocate it to our Metropolitan Municipality to be used as KOMEK (Vocational Course). We have seen that the registrations are full due to the density of those who have already applied to our facility. It's a real necessity in this area. We are aware that if Karatay wins, Konya wins, and if Konya wins, Turkey wins. Because each service is supplementary, support, and strength for each other. We, the Karatay Municipality, have either implemented a project or unveiled any completed service almost every week since the day we took office. We immediately rolled up our sleeves for new projects without waiting for a service to come to an end. We unveiled many services in 2021, which we laid the foundations by saying "Bismillah (In the name of God)"in 2020 which was heavily under the influence of the pandemic process. In his speech, Hasan Angı, the  Konya Provincial Head of AK Party,  expressed that a new service is carried out every day in Konya to ensure that the people in the city look at the future with hope and thanked the mayors. Hasan Angı, the Provincial Head, said; “As a person living in this city, one-day health facilities are built in every area needed for the unity and integrity of the city, and the next day social facilities are built. Our municipalities are mobilizing to make the city more livable in every area. Our governor, district governors, local governors, and mayors are making an effort to make people look to the future with much more hope. In other cities, there is always competition between municipalities, even if they are from the same party, there is always a desire to get ahead, but this building is the indicator of how much the cooperation culture  has developed in Konya. Because the construction and all financing of the building were followed out by our Karatay Municipality. We, the Metropolitan Municipality, carried out the operation and the interior furnishing. During this period, we are working in a great coordination, especially in our central districts and all of our 30 districts. It returns to our citizens as a blessing and a wonderful service.  I want to thank  Mr. Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, before you. With the new Metropolitan Law, we opened our KOMEK courses in 28 districts in addition to the center. In the fall semester, KOMEK serves 33 thousand 574 trainees in 147 different branches in our 70 courses of building. In good coordination with our mayors, organization, council members, and headmen, we all struggle to make our Konya a much more beautiful, safer, and much more developed city. I wish all the best to our facility.”

Due to the social facility we have opened today, our Konya will continue to be a place where knowledge is shaped. Providing such places to Konya is the greatest source of wealth for our city. I want to thank Karatay Municipality for bringing this place to Konya. The harmony between the district municipalities, especially the Metropolitan Municipality in Konya, reveals these beautiful works. These beautiful works made by our municipalities are so many that Konya always wins. When the understanding of service to people is the reason for the existence of institutions, such good works emerge. The culture and civilization of Konya require this. The facility, unveiled today, is also very qualified in terms of its contents. I wish that these services to our people will increase and grow, and I wish the Orhangazi Social Facility to be beneficial for Konya”.
