HASAN KILCA: OUR ÇIMENLIK INDOOR SPORTS HALL IS A FACILITY BEFITTING OUR YOUTH AND OUR DISTRICT

Karatay Municipality, which accelerated its investments to increase the number of sports facilities in Karatay and to enable citizens to do sports under better conditions, puts the Indoor Sports Hall, which it brought to Çimenlik Mahallesi into service. Celebrating Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall for the city, Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca said, "Our facility, which has a new and modern indoor sports hall, is a project worthy of our youth and our district."

Karatay Municipality, which sets an example for Turkey with its investments and projects in the field of sports, opened the Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall, which it gained to the district, with a ceremony.

The Indoor Sports Hall gained to Çimenlik Neighborhood, has  8,680 land and 1161 square meters of construction area. The center, which includes a 15 x 28 playing field, foyer area, spectator tribune, locker rooms, and administrative sections, costs 21 million with its current figure.

In his speech at the opening ceremony,  Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, stated that, they, the Karatay Municipality, have taken important steps to enable people of all ages to do sports under healthier conditions and encourage young people to do sports. Kılca congratulated Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall for Konya.

OUR LOVE FOR OUR CITY IS INCREASING EVEN MORE IN EVERY INVESTMENT WE MAKE, 

Mayor Hasan Kılca, who stated that they attach particular importance to sports as a municipality, said that they have gained a lot of investment in Karatay in a short time, and continued as follows: "We love our Karatay, Konya, our country so much. This love of ours increases with every service we do, every investment, and every project. Our love, our excitement, and our affection for our city encourage us to work harder and produce more. We continue to bring new living spaces to our citizens with the projects we have implemented all over Karatay. Together with our metropolitan municipality and all other municipalities, we are embellishing our Konya. We are equipping every corner of our district with innovative, original, and useful projects and investments for our people. We, the Karatay Municipality, lead to important services not only in the field of physical and infrastructure but also in the fields of social, and cultural education and sports. We consider every investment we make in these areas as an investment for the future. Because we believe that the most substantial contribution to our district and our people will directly influence our children and youth. In this context, we are shaping the future of Karatay and Konya together. To date, we have put many projects into service for our children and youth. In short, when we took office, we brought 6 training facilities to our district in the last four years. The 7th is under construction. We made the tender for the 8th. We have put many projects into service, from the landscaping of our schools to the construction of modern astro turfs in our schools and parks, from the establishment of libraries in our schools to the extra textbooks for our young brothers who are preparing for the exams and meeting the exam fees. About two weeks ago, we gave the good news of our Karatay Sports Center, which is the highest budgeted investment in our municipality's history. We will lay the foundation of our Karatay Sports Center very soon. I wish all the best to our Konya in advance. Of course, our projects for our youth and children are not limited to these. Again last week, another project we shared with our fellow citizens, the Hoş Kubbe, is rising. There will be an underdome library where our youth and children can both study and easily access source books. There will also be different social activities for young people. Again, the construction of our Barrier-Free Life Center and Cultural Center, for which we laid the foundations more recently, continues. We are also providing a youth center for our young people in our Köprübaşı neighborhood. The construction of the center continues. With its library, classrooms, sports halls, workshops, conference hall, and cafeterias, our youth center will be at the disposal of all our youth and children who want to develop their skills, take up a hobby related to their interests, and spend their time productively.”

I AM HAPPY TO KEEP THE PROMISE I MADE TO OUR YOUTH

 Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, expressed his appreciation with the realization of the requested sports hall project when they came to school visits and concluded his words as follows: “Today, we are opening our Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall with a construction area of 1161 square meters and a cost of TRY 21 million. In this facility, our 100th groundbreaking project as a municipality, we have a playground, foyer area, audience tribune, locker rooms, and administrative departments. Our facility with a new and modern indoor sports hall, has been a project worthy of our youth and our district. When we came here, I promised our teachers and young sisters and brothers to construct this place during our school visits. I am happy to keep this promise here today. I believe that many young athletes will grow up in this center for our country. We, the Karatay Municipality, will continue adding value to our Karatay and Konya with our investments and projects in many areas. Our goals and aims are to serve all of our fellow citizens in Konya together with our metropolitan municipality, central district municipalities, governorship, district governorship, organizations, public institutions, and organizations. I wish all the best with our Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall to our Karatay and Konya.”

ÇIMENLIK INDOOR SPORTS HALL WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR SPORTSMAN POOL

Abdurrahman Şahin, Konya Provincial Director of Youth and Sports, emphasized that Konya is an ancient city where exemplary sportsmen/women are trained, and exemplary sports facilities are located in sports, as in every field.

Şahin said: “We, the Konya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, continue our works as a result of the work we have done in partnership with our municipalities to increase the sports ground in our city, to direct our children and youth to sports, to provide sportsmen/women with sports clubs, to contribute to the formation of sports culture in the society, to discover young and talented individuals at an early age, to spread sports and to keep our youth away from bad habits and to create a consciousness of friendship and brotherhood among individuals. Dear young people, We are holding the opening ceremony of the Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall, the construction of which was completed by our Karatay Municipality, in line with these aims and objectives. With the opening of this hall, new athletes will be brought to the sportsman pool of our Konya, new talents will be discovered, and contributions will be made to the sports infrastructure of our Konya as World Capital of Sport 2023 and our country. Leading the youth and sports activities with many youth and sports facilities built in the city center and districts by our Konya Governorship, Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Karatay, Meram, and Selçuklu Municipalities together with our Ministry contributed significantly to Konya becoming a brand city in sports. I would like to express my gratitude to our Minister, Governor, and Deputies, Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, and the individuals and entire team of our other Mayors for these contributions and support. I would like to express my thanks to Mr. Hasan Kılca and his valuable team as they gained Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall, which we opened, to our city. I wish all the best with the Indoor Sports Hall to our school, our athletes, and our city.”

THE CENTER CONTRIBUTES TO YOUTH'S SPENDING QUALITY TIME

Murat Yiğit, Konya Provincial Director of National Education, noted that Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall will contribute to the youth to spend their time outside of school with correct and useful activities, and wishes all the best with our Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall to our Karatay and Konya.

Murat Yiğit made the following statements; “Our Konya, which has been mentioned as the city of education and culture throughout history, has been a city place where valuable education services come to life with a sense of responsibility from its past. At this point, the will demonstrated by our local governments is respectable. The "understanding of exemplary municipality" put forward by our district municipalities, especially our Metropolitan Municipality, also makes great contributions to the education of our city. It will serve our youth and athletes in the surrounding neighborhoods, especially the students of our Karatay 15 July Martyrs Anatolian High School, where Çimenlik Sports Hall built by Karatay Municipality is located in its garden. We hope that the effect of sports that leads to discipline and good morals will prepare our youth for life in a well-qualified and better way. I would like to express my sincere thanks to our Mayor of Karatay, Mr. Hasan Kılca, and his team, who contributed to this meaningful service. I believe that the education and training in Karatay, which has risen and gained momentum with their support, will reach a much better position day by day. It will contribute to our young people spending their time outside of school with correct and useful activities. WE ARE WITH OUR YOUTH IN EVERY PROCESS

Mustafa Kavuş, the Mayor of Meram, wishes all the best with the facility to Konya and said that Konya municipalities are competing in service.

Kavuş said, “This investment has been one that contributes to the growth of our children and youth, as well as the adults of the future. We, the four municipalities in the center, stand by our children in all their processes, starting from kindergarten until they graduate from the university. We are competing with our National Education and Youth and Sports Directorate to provide all kinds of support. In the future, we will do even more than the duties given to us by the law in order to raise our children, and we will continue to do whatever we can to save our future and protect today. We, the Konya Municipalities, will continue to compete in service. I congratulate our Mayor of Karatay, Mr. Hasan Kılca, and his entire team, who contributed to this facility.”

WE BUILD THE CENTURY OF TÜRKIYE TOGETHER WITH YOUTH

Ahmet Pekyatımcı, the Mayor of Selçuklu, stated that they will build the Century of Turkey together with the youth, and said that we, the Konya municipalities, are trying to fulfill their responsibilities for the future of the youth. Pekyatımcı said that as the municipalities of Konya, they are doing things that will please all segments of the society and continued his speech as follows; “We, the municipalities, do our part not only in infrastructure services but also in every field from education to health, from sports to culture. I would like to thank the working team, especially our Karatay Mayor, who contributed to the creation of this nice work, our national education director, and our provincial director of youth and sports. Whatever we do for our youth is never enough. It is important for us that they can develop and express themselves in every field. Therefore, I hope this facility will fulfill a very important service for our young people to improve themselves in the field of sports. Our young people will have a great time in this nice facility. We will build the Turkish Century together with our youth. I would like to thank our esteemed mayor for his services to our Karatay.”

OUR MAYORS USE EVERY MEANS AVAILABLE

Hasan Angı, the Konya Provincial Head of the AK Part wishes all the best with Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall to our students and our district, and said; “Our esteemed mayor does good work for our Karatay every day. God bless him. Today's youth acts with the qualifications to meet the needs of the period. The efforts of our esteemed teachers, esteemed national education administrators, and esteemed Ministers here are great. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to the whole team in the person of our Mayor of Karatay. Our city is growing in every field. Our central district mayors and other mayors, especially our Metropolitan Mayor, also use every means available at their disposal to bring their districts to the best level. We, as a nation, are walking toward the future with strong steps under the leadership of our President. I wish all the best with the Sports Hall to our school, our neighborhood, and our district.”

INVESTMENTS ARE FOR THE FUTURE OF YOUTH

Yavuz Güner, the District Governor of Karatay, stated that they are happy to be together at a new opening in Karatay, and emphasized that Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall will contribute to the achievements of the students.

Guner said; “We are together again for the opening of a new sports facility in our district. I wish all the best to our students and the school at our facility. The presence of a library, sports facility, and playground next to our school building makes us very happy and gives us hope with the belief that it will contribute more to the success of our students. Therefore, our expectation from you, our esteemed students, is to increase your success by using these opportunities in the best manner. Our aim with all our investments is to ensure that our students receive a better education. I would like to express my gratitude to the Directorate of National Education, especially our Mayor Hasan Kılca, who helped bring this sports facility to our school, and I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who contributed."

YOUTH WILL GROW AT THE FACILITY TO CONTRIBUTE TO KONYA'S SPORTS CITY IDENTITY

Mayor Mustafa Uzbaş, the Deputy Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality stated that another investment has been added to Konya's identity as a sports city with Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall and said; “With the understanding of the Konya model of municipality, we consider every step taken for our youth as solid steps to be taken for the future of our country. While our country is walking strongly towards a bright future, it achieves great success in production, sports, art, and health, in short, in every field, and it takes the greatest strength from our youth. We are proud of every single hardworking and insightful young person who grew up with national and spiritual feelings. We are working with great determination to bring each of our young people to a bright future. While realizing these works, we are collaborating with our Karatay municipality and all our district municipalities, and we continue our coordinated efforts to strengthen our city in all areas. Especially with the strong steps we have taken in the field of sports, Konya has hosted the Islamic Solidarity Games and also earned the title of World Capital of Sport 2023. Another investment has been added to Konya's identity as a sports city with the Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall that we have opened today. I am sure that many successful young people will grow up in this facility and they will be the pride of our city and country. I would like to thank everyone who contributed, especially our Mayor of Karatay, who brought this significant work to our city.”

After the protocol speeches, the opening of the Çimenlik Indoor Sports Hall, brought to the Çimenlik District by the Karatay Municipality, was held after the prayers.

On the other hand, the center's groundbreaking program was attended by Mehmet Genç, the Karatay District Head of the AK Party, Sami Sağdıç, the Karatay District Director of National Education, Murat Dönmez, the Konya Branch Chairman of Turkish Sports Writers Association, Karatay Deputy Mayors, unit managers, headmen and citizens.
