KILCA: ÇANAKKALE IS AN UNPRECEDENTED REARING IN WHICH OUR HONOR, AND INDEPENDENCE ARE PROTECTED BY THE LAST DROP OF OUR BLOOD.

Mayor of Karatay Hasan Kılca has published a message on the 18th of March Martyrs Remembrance Day and the 105th anniversary of Çanakkale Naval Victory. Mayor Hasan Kılca emphasized that:  “Çanakkale Victory is a demonstration to the whole world that; what our saint and devoted nation can accomplish when the freedom and independence endangered when the homeland, flag, and freedom are in danger.

The Çanakkale Victory, which led to the resurrection of our nation on March 18, 1915, is the symbol of faith and determination rather than military and political success. The Çanakkale Victory is a unique success in which a nation that is wanted to be erased from history has once again proved the existence to whole world despite all their absence and impossibility. Our 250 thousand martyrs and hundreds of thousands of veterans have written their names in history with golden letters. Çanakkale Victory is an unprecedented rearing that shows how a nation protects its honor, and independence against the world until the last drop of blood.

Our ancestors who came from all over our geography, not only from Anatolia, but fought hand to hand in Çanakkale, died without hesitation and became martyrs, veterans without hesitation, for the sake of their homeland, flags and independence. In this sense, Çanakkale Victory is a lesson that should not be forgotten not only for our nation, our country, the imperialist powers who want to take our future and freedom, but also for all evil focuses pursuing treacherous and dirty plans. Today, as a nation, we must realize that epic struggle, which was carried out 105 years ago, in order to protect this cherished homeland, to prevent our Azan (Call to prayer), and to keep our glorious flag floating on the flagpole. We should know that carrying this consciousness to future generations as a debt against our ancestors.

With these feelings and thoughts, I wish mercy from Allah Almighty to all our saint martyrs who have entrusted this homeland to us on the occasion of the 18th of March Martyrs Remembrance Day and the 105th anniversary of Çanakkale Sea Victory.”
